At the Bitcoin MENA conference, Eric Trump announced that US cryptocurrencies XRP, ADA, ALGO, and HBAR will be tax-exempt under the Trump administration.

The move is in line with Trump’s broader vision to make the United States the world’s leading cryptocurrency hub, amid discussions of creating a national Bitcoin reserve.

At the Bitcoin MENA 2024 conference in Abu Dhabi, Eric Trump, executive vice president of the Trump Organization, made a major announcement: US cryptocurrencies will be tax-exempt. The move will affect US-issued cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin (BTC), Cardano (ADA), Algorand (ALGO), Ripple (XRP), Stellar (XLM), and Hedera Hashgraph (HBAR). This contrasts with Italy’s recent decision to impose a 42 percent capital gains tax on Bitcoin.
